Biden-Xi Face-to-Face Meeting Will Take Place.

President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping have begun preparations for a face-to-face meeting at the White House. This information was revealed by a senior official at the White House through a briefing with The Washington Post on Thursday.

The official, who chose not to disclose their name, stated, “The possibility of the meeting is quite certain. We have initiated the planning process.” However, neither the Chinese Embassy in Washington nor the White House has made an immediate comment on this matter. The two leaders had their last special meeting on the sidelines of the G-20 summit in Indonesia in November last year.

In recent months, top-level officials from both countries have been engaging in a series of meetings. In June, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken visited China, followed by Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen in July and Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo in August.

Most recently, in New York, Blinken held talks with China’s Vice President Han Zheng, and the U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan met with China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
