During the exodus from North to South Gaza, Israel launched an aerial attack on unarmed Palestinian civilians. At least 70 lives were lost in this incident, as reported by Hamas. According to Hamas officials, the majority of the deceased were women and children. They had fled to safer areas in fear of Israel’s assault, leaving North Gaza behind. However, Israel has not provided immediate information on this matter.
Yesterday, Friday, Israel instructed all unarmed residents of North Gaza to evacuate to the southern territories within 24 hours. It is assumed that Israel is preparing for a large-scale campaign in the Gaza territories.
Despite the order to evacuate Gaza, the United Nations has urged restraint on Israel. The organization deems this order an unjustifiable directive. The United Nations further stated that following Israel’s directive, thousands have left the city of Gaza.
On October 7th, the Palestinian organization Hamas initiated a retaliatory attack on Israel, launching rocket strikes. The death toll from Hamas’s attacks on Israel has now reached 1,300 individuals.
In response, Israel commenced a counteroffensive on the same day. The Gaza Health Ministry revealed that the casualties from Israeli airstrikes in unblocked Gaza territories have risen to 1,900 Palestinians, with 6,388 individuals injured.
According to the United Nations, the Israeli offensive in Gaza has resulted in the displacement of 338,000 Palestinians, leaving them homeless once again.
