Autumnal Durga Puja, the biggest religious festival of Bengali Hindus, begins with the auspicious occasion of Mahalaya. From this day, the Devi side begins.
On Saturday (October 14), on this occasion, Hindus invited the goddess Durga to come to the mortal world through the recitation of Sri Sri Chandipath. Mahalaya is an important part of the Autumnal Durga Puja.

The five-day Autumnal Durga Puja will begin on October 20 with the awakening, invitation, and residence of the goddess Durga on the sixth side.
The colorful festival will end on October 24 with the immersion of the idols and the victory procession on Vijaya Dashami on October 23.
