Ministry of Public Administration Appointed Ambassadors to Switzerland, Thailand, Poland and Kuwait

Dhaka: The government has appointed ambassadors to Switzerland, Thailand, Poland, and Kuwait. The Ministry of Public Administration issued orders for their appointments on Tuesday (November 7).

Mr. Mohammad Sufiur Rahman, a career foreign service official, has been appointed as the Permanent Representative to Bangladesh’s Permanent Mission in Geneva, Switzerland, starting from December 1, for six months.

Mr. M. Abdul Hye, a BCS foreign cadre official, has been given the appointment as Bangladesh’s Ambassador to the Embassy of Bangladesh in Thailand with effect from December 29 or the joining date for the next six months, subject to his departure from the current position and relinquishment of any other organization or institution.

On the other hand, Ms. Sultanat-e-Laila, a BCS foreign cadre official, has been appointed as the Ambassador to the Embassy of Bangladesh in Warsaw, Poland, for six months starting from December 25 or the joining date for the next six months, subject to her departure from the current position and relinquishment of any other organization or institution.

In addition, Major General Mr. Ashikuzzaman, a BCS foreign cadre official, has been appointed as Bangladesh’s Ambassador to the Embassy of Bangladesh in Kuwait for six months starting from November 17, subject to his departure from the current position and relinquishment of any other organization or institution.
