“Chinese balloon” again in the sky of Taiwan

Yesterday, two balloons flew over the Taiwanese Strait. The Ministry of National Defense in Taiwan says that the balloons may be related to weather monitoring and could be from China.

In the coming month, there have been incidents of balloons flying close to Taiwan twice. The possibility of China using balloons for intelligence gathering was intensely discussed in February. At that time, the United States revealed that they had observed Chinese reconnaissance balloons. However, China claimed that the balloon, used for non-military purposes, had accidentally drifted in the opposite direction due to a mishap.
