The Promise to Showcase the Story of Bangabandhu’s Daughter’s Struggle to the World: State Minister for Information

State Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Mohammad Ali Arafat, commented that showcasing the story of the struggles of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the daughter of Bangabandhu, to the entire world should be the pledge on her Homecoming Day. He made this remark as a special guest at a discussion meeting organized by the Dhaka District Awami League at their Tejgaon office in the capital on Sunday (May 19) to commemorate the Homecoming Day of the nation’s gem, Sheikh Hasina.

During his speech, the State Minister for Information further emphasized that the history of Sheikh Hasina’s struggles, sacrifices, and triumphs against adversities must be presented to the world. Without doing so, we would all fail collectively. He asserted the commitment to tell the story of Bangabandhu’s daughter not just within Bangladesh or to future generations but to the entire world. The narrative of resurgence and awakening needs to be conveyed globally.

The State Minister also stressed the importance of teaching children about the fight against injustice, not compromising or being defeated by it, and the struggle to establish justice in the face of all odds. The real-life events in Sheikh Hasina’s life surpass fiction and tales. The story of her struggle, protest against injustice, and victory in establishing justice should reach children worldwide. This victorious story began on May 17, 1981. The entire nation of Bangladesh should celebrate this day, including every school and college, so that everyone understands that this is not just a story or fiction but a truth.

The event was presided over by the President of Dhaka District Awami League, Freedom Fighter Benazir Ahmed MP, and conducted by the General Secretary of Dhaka District Awami League, Poniruzzaman Torun. The chief guest at the event was the Prime Minister’s Advisor for Private Industry and Investment, Salman Fazlur Rahman MP. Other special guests included Awami League Presidium Member Advocate Kamrul Islam MP, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan MP, Awami League Organizational Secretary Ahmad Hossain MP, and Mirza Azam MP, among others.
