Air Vice Marshal Sheikh Abdul Hannan has taken charge as the Chief of Bangladesh Air Force. Today, in the presence of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the newly appointed Chief of Air Staff was given a rank badge.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Air Vice Marshal Sheikh Abdul Hannan has been in charge of the Air Force for three years. He replaces the outgoing Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat. Today he will be promoted to Air Marshal.
The newly appointed Chief of Air Staff was conferred the Air Chief Marshal rank badge by Army Quartermaster General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed and Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Operations) Rear Admiral M Abu Ashraf.
The Assistant Press Secretary to the Prime Minister said that after wearing the rank badge, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina congratulated the newly appointed Chief of Air Staff and wished him success. The new Chief of Air Staff also greeted the Prime Minister with flowers.
Masihuzzaman Serniabat retired today as his tenure ended. He took over as chief of the air force in 2018 for three years.
