Prime Minister of Malaysia, Anwar Ibrahim, chief adviser to the interim government of Bangladesh. Muhammad Yunus spoke on the phone. During the conversation, Anwar Ibrahim also informed about the cooperation of the interim government in the reconstruction of peace and security in Bangladesh.
Anwar Ibrahim gave this information through a Facebook post on Wednesday (August 14). He wrote in the post, ‘Yesterday I had a phone conversation with my old friend Professor Muhammad Yunus. I have personally congratulated him on his recent appointment as Chief Advisor to the Interim Government of Bangladesh.’
Anwar Ibrahim wrote, Professor Yunus has a long-standing good relationship with Malaysia. I assured him, Malaysia is ready to help and support the Interim Government in rebuilding and restoring peace and security in Bangladesh. Assuring protection and equal rights to all Bangladeshi citizens including minorities. He expressed satisfaction with Yunus.
