Free movement on public transport Corona infection is on the rise: Health Minister

Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Malek has said, that the rate of corona infection is increasing in the country due to lifting of restrictions on trade and commerce and free movement of public transport. The health minister said this while exchanging views with local people’s representatives at his residence on Friday.

“If we want to control the rate of infection, we have to strictly adhere to the rules of hygiene,” he said. Hygiene rules must be followed in business and public transport. Because passengers travel in crowded public transport. Due to these reasons the rate of infection is increasing. Therefore, public transport has to follow the instructions of the government and half the seats have to be left vacant. We see that these are not being accepted in public transport.

In North Bengal of the country, especially in Rajshahi, Chapainawabganj, Rangpur, Khulna, Satkhira and Naogaon districts, the rate of corona infection is high. In some districts, corona has become 30-40 percent. Meanwhile, corona is increasing in Noakhali and corona infection rate is increasing up to Rajbari, the minister said.

The health minister said that once a person is vaccinated but not protected, it takes another month. Delta variant in India has also come to our country. Its transmission capacity is more than 50 percent. So, this is the time we have to follow the rules of health, we have to protect ourselves, we have to protect the family, we have to protect the country.
