80% people of the country will be vaccinated free: PM

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has assured that there will be no more problems with the supply of vaccines across the country to prevent coronavirus.

Vaccines have started coming. More will come. Vaccines will be given to 80 percent of the country’s people for free,” PM said in a speech to the concluding session of the National Assembly on Saturday.

“We are in touch with the countries those who have vaccines. We will buy more vaccines. We are in touch with everyone, including China, Russia, Japan and the United States,” PM told in parliament.

The Prime Minister informed the Parliament about the government’s plan to bring 80 percent of the people of the country under vaccination. “We have bought vaccines with a lot of money. In the interest of the people, they are being given people for free,” she said.

The Prime Minister further said that the government always gives priority to the marginalized people who work hard.

Mentioning that corona vaccination has been started among the students at the college and university level, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that the students are suffering due to the closure of educational institutions. Colleges and universities will be reopened once vaccination activities are completed. And if the corona infection situation is brought under control, primary and secondary level educational institutions will be opened.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said, the government will provide whatever money is needed to collect the vaccine. Vaccination will not be a problem.

Sheikh Hasina said this while addressing a general discussion on the proposed budget for the fiscal year 2021-2022 in the National Assembly.
