Bridges Minister: The government is giving top priority to vaccine collection

“Procurement of vaccines with the highest priority is a clear reflection of the long-term commitment of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s government to the people of the country.” – Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader

He said this at a press conference held at his official residence this morning.

He said Bangladesh would succeed in procuring the required number of vaccines under the Prime Minister’s diplomatic skills and visionary leadership, InshaAllah.

Stating that there is no crisis of oxygen in the country, the Minister for Road Transport and Bridges said that there may be a lack of coordination in some areas but the Prime Minister has already directed the Ministry of Health to take appropriate steps to ensure supply in areas where oxygen supply is urgent.

Noting that there is no alternative to building a fortress of awareness at home to curb the upward trend of infection, he said, “We take utmost care even if it is to survive in need of life.”

Responding to the BNP’s criticism of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s remarks in the just-concluded 13th session of the Jatiya Sangsad, the Awami League general secretary said the BNP’s criticism was just an exercise in denying the shining truth. Although the BNP made harsh remarks, it could not say which statement of the parliamentary leader was untrue. In fact, the speech of the Leader of the Parliament was a hard truth of history.

Noting that the BNP’s anti-coronation policy has failed, Obaidul Quader said about 4.5 million doses of vaccine have already arrived in the country. More vaccines will come in time.

He further said that those who take refuge in lies and engage in politics, if the truth is revealed, it is natural for the BNP to get angry.
