Rising infections worldwide, 55,000 lives per week

According to the weekly report of the UN health agency, about 3 million people have been infected with coronavirus in the last one week. At the same time, more than 55,000 people died in the world.

The World Health Organization (WHO) says, Brazil, India, Indonesia and the United Kingdom have the highest rates of infection in a single week.

WHO says, the highly contagious delta type of corona has now been identified in 111 countries around the world. In the coming months this type of corona may become dominant around the world.

According to the weekly bulletin, from July 5 to 11, 29 lakh 96 thousand 465 people were infected with corona in the world. At the same time, 55,830 people died in Corona. Besides, 18 crore 62 lakh 40 thousand 393 people have been infected and 40 lakh 27 thousand 861 people have died in the world till July 11.

The WHO says, corona detection and mortality rates in the United States have been declining over the past few weeks. The country’s identification rate has dropped by 3 percent during this period. On the other hand, infections in the East-Mediterranean region increased by 25 percent. In addition, infections have increased by 20 percent in Europe and 16 percent in Southeast Asia. The detection rate has risen to 15 percent in the western Pacific and about 5 percent in Africa.

The World Health Organization says, more infectious forms of corona than the delta may emerge. Public health restrictions and relaxation of social distances, increased social mobility and socializing could lead to higher infections, hospitalizations and deaths in the world in the coming days.

The corona delta type, first identified in India, is now widespread around the world. The plan to get rid of the epidemic is going to be ruined. As a result, researchers and pharmaceuticals are trying to improve the vaccine to prevent the vaccine from losing its effectiveness against new strains of the virus.

In the last 24 hours, 8,046 people have died of corona in the world, according to the website World Meters, which released updated statistics on corona. In other words, the death toll has increased by about 2,000 as compared to the previous day. The death toll has reached 40 lakh 69 thousand 519 people around the world.

Besides, 5 lakh 3 thousand 237 people have been newly infected with the virus in the same period. In other words, the number of newly identified patients has increased by about 1 lakh 26 thousand as compared to the previous day. Since the beginning of the epidemic, the total number of patients infected with the virus has increased to 18 crore 88 lakh 96 thousand 721 people.
