The current lockdown extended until August 10

The current ban on corona pandemic has been extended to August 10. Liberation War Affairs Minister AQM Mozammel Haque told reporters at the Secretariat after a virtual inter-ministerial meeting on Tuesday (August 3rd).

A high-level meeting of the government began at 11 a.m. on Tuesday in the cabinet meeting room to decide whether to extend the strict restrictions. The meeting was chaired by Liberation War Affairs Minister AQM Mozammel Haque and was attended by Health Minister Zahid Malek and Cabinet Secretary Anwarul Islam. In addition, virtual ministers were involved. The meeting decided to extend the ban for another five days.

After the virtual meeting, the Liberation War Minister said, “The restrictions have been extended till August 10. The condition is that everyone must be vaccinated. The office-court will open from August 11. I will notice the reality these days. I will look at it as a test case for two or four days. If necessary, the decision will be taken on an urgent basis. ‘

According to the latest Monday (August 2) figures from the Department of Health, 246 people died of coronary heart disease in a single day. 15,989 people have been identified as infected. The Department of Health had recommended extending the ban for another 10 days.
