The engine of the oil-carrying train leaving from Dinajpur broke down at Ullapara in Sirajganj and the railway communication of three divisions with Dhaka is closed.
The incident took place at Mohanpur railway station on Ullapara upazila on the Sirajganj-Ishwardi railway line around 4am on Monday.
The station master of Ullapara railway station said the NG DC block, Dhaka-bound oil-carrying train from Dinajpur was heading towards Chittagong. It failed the engine after approaching the outer signal at Ullapara Rouder of Mohanpur station. The driver tried a lot but could not start the engine. Due to this, train communication between Dhaka, Rajshahi, Rangpur and Khulna region is closed.
