Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said the new election commission would be formed under the law.
He said, “Before forming the new election commission, the BNP has started a new conspiracy. The BNP is trying to make the Election Commission controversial even before the parliamentary elections. The recent election commission will also be formed according to the law.
Obaidul Quader made the remarks while addressing a meeting of the party’s secretariat at the party’s central office here on Saturday.
He said, “The Election Commission has been formed through a search committee at the call of the President and in consultation with all parties.” All parties, including BNP, were represented there. This time too, the Election Commission will be formed in all acceptable ways. ‘
Regarding early elections or party early conferences, Obaidul Quader said, “Parliamentary elections will be held on time as per the law.” Our team conference will also be at the scheduled time. There is no precedent of early meeting in Awami League. ‘
The road transport minister said the Awami League’s Jumbo Jet is not a central committee like the BNP. The term of our current committee will end in December next year. Before us, BNP 501 had formed a one-member Jammu Jet Committee. I saw in the media that this is their first meeting of the executive committee. They are having series of meetings. This meeting is not about the internal democracy of their party.
He said that without practicing internal democracy, special series meetings are holding secret meetings of anti-government series conspiracies. It is a meeting on how to conspire against the government, remove the government, and provoke communal forces.
Obaidul Quader said they conspired to question the democratic system. The BNP is conspiring again to form an election commission next year. I call upon the people to resist all the conspiracies of the BNP. Any chaos will be answered.
“We had a BNP committee a year ago,” he said. That committee met three years later. They did not hold any district or upazila conference. They utter the words of democracy. They don’t have discussions, and they don’t have committees; there is no democracy in the party. How will they establish democracy in the country? There is no democracy in Zia’s party, which is stealing power.
