Efforts are being made to make the tourism sector world class: Aviation and Tourism Minister

State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Md Mahbub Ali MP said, efforts are being made to upgrade Bangladesh’s tourism sector to world class. The potential of this sector should be viewed in a positive way. We are fast moving to the place of tourism potential.

The present government is working earnestly to take the tourism sector to the brink of development. The Ministry is working hard to promote and unleash the country’s tourism. Resorts in Bangladesh are a shining example for recreation and tranquility.

He was speaking as the chief guest at a seminar on the role of resorts in rural tourism development including local job creation at Arunima Resort Golf Club at Panipara in Naragati police station on the occasion of World Tourism Day-2021 at 11pm on Saturday. The seminar was organized by Tourism Resort Industries Association of Bangladesh (TRIAB).

The Minister further said that Arunima Resort Golf Club is a favorite place for tourists and travelers. Arunima, made in a completely natural environment, is one of the places to satisfy the human mind. He mentioned Khabir Uddin Ahmed, the owner of Arunima, as a good entrepreneur. The Minister assured to remove the difficulty of traveling to Arunima, which is located in a remote rural area.

Secretary of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism Md. Mokammel Hossain, Chief Executive Officer of Bangladesh Tourism Board Jabed Ahmed, Superintendent of Police Prabir Kumar Roy addressed the function as special guests under the chairmanship of Khabir Uddin Ahmed, President of Tourism Resort Industries Association of Bangladesh (TRIAB). Deputy Commissioner of Narail Md. Habibur Rahman presented an essay on potential Narail.

Managing Director of Arunima Resort Golf Club Irfan Ahmed also spoke at the seminar.
