Bangladesh condemns drone attack in Saudi Arabia’s Airport

Bangladesh has strongly condemned the Houthi bomb-laden drone attack which targeted King Abdullah Airport in Jazan, Saudi Arabia on October 8 injuring civilians including few Bangladeshis workers.

“Such attacks are a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law, moral values and completely unacceptable,” a foreign ministry’s statement said Tuesday.

It said Bangladesh expressed its grave concerns over the growing number of Houthi militia attacks on Saudi Arabia, undermining the ongoing peace initiatives.

While urging a peaceful resolution of the Yemen conflict, Dhaka expressed its solidarity with the Saudi Arabian government and its brotherly people in condemning such irresponsible activities.

The statement added that the Bangladesh Embassy in Riyadh had been asked to look after Bangladeshi citizens injured in the latest Houthi attack and provide the necessary support.
