Bangladeshi community in the UAE to invest in the country

Minister for Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment Imran Ahmed has called on the UAE community in Bangladesh to invest in the country.

Minister Imran called an exchange meeting organized by the Bangladesh Association in the UAE’s Fujairah province on Thursday (October 28th).

The Expatriate Welfare Minister said that the expatriate Bangladeshis should work in unity for the country’s development.

Highlighting the various initiatives taken by the expatriates in the government, the Minister said the government is committed to the expatriates’ welfare and their family members. As part of this, the government has set up expatriate schools for the children of expatriates with the funding of the Wage Earners Welfare Board to expand education in the Bangladeshi curriculum. There are also many more initiatives under implementation.

At the meeting, Bangladeshi workers and business people presented their various issues to the Minister and thanked the government for providing a two per cent incentive in remittances.

Bangladesh Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates at the meeting Abu Jafar, NRB (CIP) Association President Mahtabur Rahman Nasir, Councilor (Labor) Fatema Jahan and others were present.
