The coronavirus vaccination program has been started for 12-16-year-old students of school and college. Today (November 1), at 10 am in the capital Motijheel Ideal School and College took part in the inauguration of the Education Minister Dipu Moni and Health Minister Zahid Malek.
At that time, two ninth-grade students named Mahbuba Tama and Tahsan Habib were vaccinated.
Vaccination activities will be carried out in eight capital centres, including Ideal School and College in Motijheel.
From tomorrow, 40,000 students will be vaccinated every day at other centres in the capital, the health department said.
The centres are Hardco International School, Southpoint School and College, Chittagong Grammar School, Ideal School and College in Motijheel, Mirpur Commerce School and College, Kakli High School and College, South Bridge School and Scholastica School in Mirpur.
Students between the ages of 12 and 18 will be vaccinated against coronavirus made by the US company Pfizer-Bioentech.

On October 27, Health Minister Zahid Malik told reporters at the Secretariat that after receiving the list of students from the Ministry of Education, the security application was handed over to the Ministry of ICT for registration. The rest of the registration process will be completed by the school concerned. Every day, 40,000 students between the ages of 12 and 17 will be vaccinated against Pfizer-Bioentech in the United States.
It is known that the Pfizer vaccine has to be stored at minus 90-60 degrees Celsius below freezing. In this case, an ultra-cold freezer is required. And for transportation, there is a need for a thermal shipping container or ultra-freezer van. As a result, only those educational institutions with air-conditioned (AC) rooms will be used as centres.
On October 14, 120 students of several schools in Manikganj were given the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine experimentally.
