Russia is cooperating with the United States on diesel, hit hard by rising fuel prices. The country has already shipped 2 million barrels of diesel to the United States in four tanker ships.
RT reported this information in a report on Friday quoting the US media Bloomberg. The tankers have already reached the east coast of the United States, the report said.
Russia has always been rich in energy resources. The world’s largest country has huge amounts of fuel gas. Russian producers produce diesel from fuel gas.
Clay Seigel, managing director of the Houston branch of Vortexer, an international organization that monitors international trade in fossil fuels, told Bloomberg: “Russia has more diesel supply than any other country in Europe because the country has huge reserves of natural gas.
Meanwhile, the price of fuel oil in the US retail market continues to rise. According to Bloomberg, the current price of diesel in the country is the highest in the last seven years.
