Foreign diplomats meet with Awami League central leadership

To highlight the development policy of Bangladesh and the crisis management capacity of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the International Affairs Sub-committee of the ruling party Awami League arranged a meeting on Friday.  The conference, followed by a dinner party, was held at a hotel in Dhaka, with ambassadors of different countries as guests. The title of the program was “The Mind Behind the Miracle.” International Affairs Secretary of Awami League Shammi Ahmed gave the welcome speech and former governor of Bangladesh Bank Dr. Atiur Rahman delivered the keynote speech. Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said: “The World Bank now says that Bangladesh is an inspiration to the whole world in poverty alleviation.

The success of Bangladesh in dealing with the coronavirus is being presented as an example by the world media including the New York Times.” Bangladesh will move forward under the bold leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Quader added while giving his short speech as the chief guest of the program.  Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen, Awami League presidium members Kazi Zafarullah, Jahangir Kabir Nanak, and Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya were special guests while International Affairs Sub-committee Chairman Ambassador Muhammad Zamir chaired the event. Envoy of Germany Achim Troster, Enrico Nunziata of Italy, Jeremy Bruer of Australia, and Li Jiming of China, among others, were present in the program.

Earlier a documentary on the development prospects of Bangladesh under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was screened at the venue. The speakers emphasized the country’s shifting narratives as told by the hinterland and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s enchanted leadership. Foreign ambassadors were also invited to take the initiative in various economic sectors in Bangladesh. Speakers expressed their confidence in Awami League President Sheikh Hasina’s leadership amid the global crisis due to the Russia-Ukraine war.
