Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said that if anyone is involved in terrorist activities, he must be brought under the law.
The government is committed to protecting the lives and property of the people and is determined to follow the policy of zero tolerance against terrorism. Anyone involved in terrorist activities must be brought under the law. This is the universal policy.
Awami League has been continuously struggling to establish the democratic rights and laws of the people of the country for more than seven decades. From barbaric Pakistani ruling groups to military dictatorships, ignoring the bloodshed, the country’s democratic movement-struggle has been kept intact.
He said, the judicial process of the cases related to terrorism-corruption and looting during the BNP-Jamaat inauspicious alliance period during the caretaker government in 2007 and the arson attacks committed by them in 2013, 2014 and 2015 have been going on for a long time. As the government is not vindictive, the cases are being handled through long judicial process according to the existing law.
But BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has indulged in the habit of questioning the judicial process without respecting the law. On the one hand, BNP pushes its leaders and activists to the path of terrorism, on the other hand, when it takes action against the terrorists, the opposition makes so-called allegations of suppression. On the one hand they conspire to disrupt the election and disrupt the electoral system without trusting in democracy, on the other hand they blame the government.
