Chief Patron of Jatiya Party and Leader of Opposition in Parliament Roshan Ershad paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
On Saturday (August 19), Prime Minister’s Deputy Press Secretary KM Shakhawat Moon said that during the meeting at Ganabhaban, the Prime Minister exchanged pleasantries and inquired about the physical condition of Roshan Ershad.
He said that they also discussed the current political situation of the country and the upcoming elections. The Prime Minister thanked the Jatiya Party for playing a constructive and positive role in parliamentary democracy.
Apart from this, the responsible role of the opposition parties in strengthening the democracy and constitutional government system was also discussed.
