Gopalganj: On Wednesday, 221 joint secretaries who recently achieved promotions visited the mausoleum of the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, in Tungipara, Gopalganj, to pay their respects.
In the afternoon of the 21st and 22nd, the civil servants of the 21st and 22nd Bangladesh Civil Service (Administration) cadres arrived at the shrine of Bangabandhu, offering flowers at his mausoleum.
Later, they observed a moment of silence by the shrine before offering their respects.
Afterward, they recited the holy Fatiha and offered special prayers for the souls of Bangabandhu, the Mother of Bangladesh, the martyrs of August 15, and the 30 million martyrs of the Liberation War, seeking forgiveness.
They then visited the administrative building’s rest area at the Bangabandhu Mausoleum Complex, where they signed the visitor’s book.
Recently, 221 officers who are part of the 21st and 22nd BCS (Administration) cadre have been promoted to the position of joint secretary.
