Fishermen were prevented from going to the deep sea

Warning signals have been lifted from seaports as the threat of gale has passed. As a result, the movement of deep-sea fishing trawlers has been reduced.

This was stated by the Meteorological Office in a forecast on Friday (September 15).

Meteorologist Md. Shahinul Islam said that there is no possibility of stormy winds blowing in sea ports, North Bay of Bengal and coastal areas of Bangladesh. Therefore Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra sea ports have been asked to lower the warning signal.

Earlier on Thursday (September 14), deep sea fishing was prohibited due to signal number three in the port.

A distinct low pressure over North Odisha and adjoining areas is currently over East Madhya Pradesh and adjoining areas. Monsoon axis extends over Rajasthan, Haryana, clear low pressure center, Bihar, West Bengal and southern parts of Bangladesh towards northeast to Assam. Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay of Bengal.

Light to moderate rain/thundershower with gusty winds may occur at some places of Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and two or two places of Rajshahi, Rangpur, Mymensingh and Dhaka divisions till Saturday (September 16) evening. Along with that, moderate heavy rainfall may occur somewhere in the southern part of the country.

Day temperatures may increase slightly and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country.

From Saturday evening to Sunday (September 17) evening, some places of Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and one or two places of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna and Barisal divisions may experience light to moderate rain/thunder with gusty winds. Along with that, moderate heavy rainfall may occur somewhere in the southern part of the country.

Day temperatures may increase slightly and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country.

From Sunday (September 17) evening to Monday (September 18) evening, many places in Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and some places in Rangpur, Rajshahi and Mymensingh divisions may experience light to moderate rain/thunder with gusty winds temporarily. Along with that, moderate to heavy rainfall may occur in some parts of the country.

Day temperatures may drop by 1-3 degrees across the country and night temperatures may drop slightly.

Another forecast said, 45-60 kmph from South/South-East over Faridpur, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Comilla, Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar and Sylhet regions. Rain/Thundershower with gusty/gusty winds at times. The river ports in these areas have been asked to display warning signal number 1.
