For the first time, a freight train crossed the Padma Bridge with stones

A trial special train with seven carriages loaded with stones has tested its speed from Bhanga in Faridpur to Mawa in Munshiganj across the Padma Bridge.

The train left Bhanga for Mawa at around 7:30 am on Saturday (September 16).

From there, at around 9:30, it left again to break. This is the first speed trial of a freight train crossing the Padma Bridge.

According to Bhanga railway station sources, the cargo trial train left for Mawa railway station, 28 km from Bhanga, at around 7:30 am on Saturday. It reaches Mawa station around 9:06 AM. At that time the speed of the train was 60 km per hour. Then it left Mawa for Bhanga at a speed of 80 kilometers per hour and arrived in Bhanga around 10:30 in the morning.

In this regard, the station master of the broken railway station. Shahjahan said that the speed of the freight train filled with stones was checked twice by crossing the Padma bridge since morning. This seven-coach freight train was broken down at the station. It used to bring stones for the Padma Bridge railway project.

The Prime Minister will inaugurate the Dhaka-Bhanga railway on October 10. The railway will be opened for commercial use at the earliest.
