The terminal is being constructed at Payra port, costing Tk 944 crore.

Dhaka: The government has decided to build the first terminal at Payra Seaport, which will cost 9,436,375,349 Bangladeshi Taka.

The government’s procurement committee has approved the collaboration of CRPGE and CCIESCC in constructing this terminal.

On Wednesday, October 4th, the government procurement-related ministerial committee meeting, chaired by Finance Minister A.H.M. Mustafa Kamal, approved this proposal.

At the end of the meeting, Additional Secretary of the Cabinet Division Saed Mahbub Khan informed journalists that 12 proposals were presented at the meeting, with one being tabled. The committee has approved all of them.

He said that considering the proposal of the Ministry of Shipping, the construction of the first terminal at Payra Port and the ancillary facilities amounting to BDT 9,436,375,349 have been approved for procurement. CRPGE and CCIESCC have jointly received this project.
