Dhaka: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina hosted a dinner honouring the artists and technicians of the film “ Mujib: The Making of a Nation” at the Gangabhaban on Friday (October 13).
Prime Minister’s Deputy Press Secretary K M Shakhawat Mun told the media that the Prime Minister exchanged pleasantries with the guests at the dinner and inquired about their well-being.
At the time, the Prime Minister urged the concerned to continue to make such films in the future, so that the new generation can learn history correctly.
At the same time, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina directed the concerned to renovate and reopen all cinema halls in the districts across the country that are closed.
Later, the Prime Minister presented souvenirs to the artists and technicians of the film.
Famed Indian filmmaker Shyam Benegal directed the film “ Mujib: The Making of a Nation” depicting the life and political events of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina watched the film’s premiere show at the Film Archive in Agargaon on Thursday.
The movie was released simultaneously in cinema halls across the country.
