Israeli Defense Minister Yigal Allon has stated that there is no plan for a permanent withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip. Discussions on who will control Gaza will only be open after the Israeli military has entered, but those in control of Gaza will not adopt a hostile attitude towards Israel. Yigal Allon made these remarks to the media outlet Times of Israel.
He further mentioned that several Hamas members in Gaza have surrendered or been captured, including Hamas members involved in the October 7th attack in Israel.
