“New Trains will Operate on Padma Bridge Route Starting November 1st

Bangladesh Railway’s Director-General (East and West) Shawkat Jamil Mohshi issued this directive in a letter signed on Wednesday, October 18th. In the letter, it was mentioned that the operation of two train routes, namely the Khulna-Dhaka-Khulna Sundarban Express (725/726) and the Benapole-Dhaka-Benapole Benapole Express (795/796), will be changed to run via Padma Bridge from November 1st. Two proposals for train operation via Padma Bridge were approved in this regard. The necessary arrangements will be made following the legal procedure.

In other words, from November 1st, the Sundarban Express will run via Padma Bridge instead of Jamuna Bridge, and from November 2nd, the Benapole Express will also run via Padma Bridge. However, the new fare for this new route has not been determined yet. The proposed fare for the Padma Bridge route may become effective for these two trains.
