Dhaka: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has left for Saudi Arabia to attend an international conference on women in Islam.
He left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport for Saudi on a commercial flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines on Sunday (November 5) at 9:10 a.m.
The international conference will be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia from November 6 to 8. Saudi Arabia organized the conference in coordination with the headquarters of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
The Prime Minister will arrive at the Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah around 1:30 PM.
On the evening of the first day of his visit to Saudi Arabia, he will visit the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
At night, the Prime Minister will fly from Medina to Jeddah. He will go to Makkah from Jeddah at night. There, the Prime Minister will perform Umrah and pray in the Haram Mosque.
On the second day of the visit, he will attend the opening ceremony of the exhibition entitled ‘Women in Islam’ at the Jeddah Hilton at 6 p.m. The Prime Minister will then attend and address the International Conference on Women in Islam.
In addition to attending the conference in Jeddah Hilton, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, OIC Secretary General Hiseen Brahim Taha, Vice President of Iran’s Department of Women and Family Affairs Ensih Khazali, Executive Director of OIC Women’s Development Organization Dr. Afnan will also hold meetings with Alshuaibi and Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan. In the evening, the prime minister will attend a dinner in his honour.
On Tuesday (November 7), the Prime Minister will revisit Makkah and offer prayers at Masjid Haram.
The Prime Minister will depart for Dhaka on a commercial flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines from King Abdul Aziz International Airport at 10:45 PM local time.
The Prime Minister is scheduled to reach Dhaka at 8 a.m. on Wednesday (November 8).
