Tributes of Prime Minister-Cabinet members at Bangabandhu’s mausoleum

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid her respects at the tomb of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara in Gopalganj during her two-day state visit.

On Saturday (January 13) at 9 am, the Prime Minister left for Tungipara by road from Gana Bhavan.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina reached Tungipara at 11:30 am.

At 11:50 am, the Prime Minister paid his respects by placing a wreath at the tomb of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Then the Prime Minister stood in silence for a while. Meanwhile, a smart team of three forces provided a guard of honour.

Later, Prime Minister Bangabandhu and his family members participated in Fateha recitation and special prayers, wishing peace to the souls of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the Great Liberation War. Later, as the party chief, she paid tribute to Bangabandhu’s tomb with her younger sister Sheikh Rehana.

After that, the Prime Minister paid tribute to the Father of the Nation with the members of the new Council of Ministers and Advisory Council.

At that time, Central Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque, Finance Minister Abul Hasan Mahmud Ali, Law Minister Anisul Haque, Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Local Government Minister Md. Tajul Islam, Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Muhammad Farooq Khan, Foreign Minister Muhammad Hasan Mahmud,Minister of Religion Md. Faridul Islam. Textile and Jute Minister Jahangir Kabir Nanak, Health Minister Dr. Samanta Lal Sen, Minister of Railways. Jillul Hakim, Minister of Public Administration. Farhad Hossain, Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Saber Hossain Chowdhury, Education Minister Mahibur Hasan Chowdhury, Sheikh Helal Uddin MP, Sheikh Salauddin Jewel MP, Nur Alam Chowdhury Liton MP, Sheikh Sarhan Nasser Tanmoy MP and other ministers, state ministers and 5 advisers were present.

Later Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina wrote comments and signed the visitation book.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is staying at Bangabandhu Bhavan after paying tribute. During this visit, the Prime Minister will exchange greetings with leaders and activists at Tungipara Upazila Awami League office today at 3 pm. Later he will spend the night at his home.
