Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has directed the police to be prepared for combating technology-dependent crimes as well. She stated that along with the advancement of technology, new types of crimes are emerging, and the police need to be prepared to handle them appropriately.
She made these remarks during a speech addressed to senior police officials at the Prime Minister’s Office on Thursday (February 29).
The Prime Minister mentioned that as technology advances, so do the varieties of crimes. New types of crimes are being witnessed, and it is essential for our police force to be prepared to combat them effectively. We are taking adequate precautions and keeping a close watch on this matter. If the system of combating crime does not function properly, it will not be possible to handle it appropriately.
She emphasized that everyone should treat women, men, and children present in any workplace with respect, fulfill their responsibilities towards them, and serve them. This is what everyone desires.
