Advance tickets for the return journey will be available for sale from 8 am tomorrow, Wednesday, after Eid-ul-Fitr. Tickets will be sold through the Bangladesh Railway website (https://eticket.railway.gov.bd/) and mobile app.
This information has been obtained from the published operational plan of Bangladesh Railway for Eid-ul-Fitr.
According to the operational plan, despite selling tickets for five days in previous Eids, the railway will sell tickets for the first 7 days this time. One hundred percent of the tickets for train journeys of homebound people during Eid will be sold online without any exemptions.
Tickets for April 13 on the intercity trains will be sold on April 3, tickets for April 14 will be sold on April 4, tickets for April 15 will be sold on April 5, tickets for April 16 will be sold on April 6, tickets for April 17 will be sold on April 7, tickets for April 18 will be sold on April 8, and tickets for April 19 will be sold on April 9. Besides, passengers will be able to get 25 percent of the tickets before the start of the journey from the initial station upon the general request.
Tickets for April 10, 11, and 12 will be sold depending on the sighting of the moon for Eid. Passengers will be able to get 25 percent of the tickets before the start of the journey from the initial station upon the general request.
