On Tuesday (May 14), at 4:00 am, the first flight carried 398 pilgrims to Medina.
Prior to this, Mayor Rezaul Karim Chowdhury of Chattogram City Corporation inaugurated the Chattogram-Medina Hajj flight at Shah Amanat International Airport. He exchanged greetings with the pilgrims and wished them well.
The inauguration ceremony was chaired by M. Shahadat Hossain, Manager of Chattogram for Biman Bangladesh Airlines.
This year, under the management of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, there will be 22 direct flights for the Hajj pilgrims from Chattogram to Saudi Arabia. Among them, 20 flights will go directly to Jeddah, and two flights will go to Medina.
