New Delhi, June 10, 2024 (BSS) – Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi have expressed their desire to further strengthen the existing bilateral relations between the two neighboring countries in the future.

Foreign Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmud, in a press briefing this morning, stated, “Both leaders have expressed hope that the existing bilateral relationship will deepen in the coming days.”

This expectation was shared during a private meeting between the two Prime Ministers following the swearing-in ceremony of Modi’s cabinet on Sunday evening.

Dr. Mahmud mentioned that during the meeting, held in a very warm and friendly environment at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, the Bangladeshi Prime Minister invited her Indian counterpart to visit Bangladesh at a convenient time.

Senior Indian ministers, members of the Bangladeshi delegation, and other invited government and state leaders participated in the dinner, where brief exchanges of views took place.
