Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has congratulated the interim government led by Nobel laureate economist Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus.
In a message posted on social media on Friday (August 9), he stated that Dr. Yunus’s vast experience promises to guide the nation with wisdom and integrity.
He mentioned that since a new day has dawned in Bangladesh and a new energy has emerged among the youth, he is reminded of the immortal words of the great Bengali artist, poet, and philosopher Rabindranath Tagore: “Where the mind is led forward by thee into ever-widening thought and action, into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake.”
Dr. Muhammad Yunus assumed the role of chief advisor to the interim government on August 8. Under his leadership, a 17-member interim government has been formed.
