Stormy winds of 60 km can blow over seven regions of the country. Therefore, warning signals have been raised in the river ports of all those areas.
The Meteorological Office has given such a forecast on Wednesday (August 14).
Meteorologist Md. Omar Farooq said, over Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Comilla, Chittagong and Cox’s Bazar areas from South/South-East direction at 45-60 kmph. Rain/Thundershower with gusty/gusty winds at times. The river ports in these areas have been asked to display warning signal number 1.
According to another forecast, the extension of monsoon axis extends over Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal and central Bangladesh to Assam. An extension of it
extends to the northern Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay of Bengal.
Light to moderate rain/thundershowers with gusty winds may occur at many places in Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Rangpur divisions and some places in Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions till Thursday (August 15) morning. Along with this, there may be moderate to heavy rainfall in some parts of the country. Day and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country.
From Thursday morning to Friday (August 16) morning, many places of Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and some places of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka and Mymensingh divisions may experience light to moderate rain/thunder with gusty winds temporarily. Along with this, there may be moderate to heavy rainfall in some parts of the country. Day and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country.
From Friday morning to Saturday (October 17) morning, light to moderate rain/thundershowers with gusty winds may occur at most places of Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and at many places of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka and Mymensingh divisions. Along with this, there may be moderate to heavy rainfall in some parts of the country. Day and night temperatures may drop slightly across the country. An extended five-day weather pattern may increase precipitation trends.
