303 people are hospitalized due to dengue

No one has died due to dengue in the last 24 hours and 303 people have been hospitalized due to dengue throughout the country.   

This information was informed in a press release about dengue sent from the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Department of Health on Saturday (August 24).

It said that 30 people were affected in Barisal Division (outside City Corporation), 92 people in Chittagong Division (outside City Corporation), 15 people in Dhaka Division (outside City Corporation), 50 people in Dhaka North City Corporation, 108 people in Dhaka South City Corporation, There are three in Khulna Division (outside City Corporation) and five in Mymensingh Division (outside City Corporation).

In 24 hours, a total of 267 dengue patients were discharged from hospitals across the country, a total of 9,796 patients were discharged this year.  

A total of 10,959 dengue cases have been reported till August 25 this year. Among them, 61.3 percent are men and 38.7 percent are women.          

No one has died due to dengue in the last 24 hours, 77 people have died of dengue so far this year.   

From January 1 to December 31, 2023, a total of 1,705 people died due to dengue, and 3,21,179 people were hospitalized due to dengue.
