UAE President’s phone call to Chief Adviser

The President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has congratulated Principal Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus on taking over the leadership of the interim government of Bangladesh.

According to the press wing of the chief adviser, the chief adviser Dr. during a telephone conversation on Wednesday. Sheikh Mohammed expressed hope that Muhammad Yunus and the interim government will lead Bangladesh to prosperity. 

Congratulations to Dr. Yunus thanked the UAE President. The Chief Adviser praised his visionary leadership for making the Gulf nation one of the most prosperous countries in the world.

Mentioning the UAE as a good friend for standing by Bangladesh during various natural disasters, Professor Yunus said, millions of people from Bangladesh are working in the Gulf country. The country is an important source of remittances for Bangladesh. The two leaders also exchanged views on issues of mutual interest including manpower employment, trade and investment expansion.
