4 people died in dengue, 346 were hospitalized

In the last 24 hours, four more people have died due to dengue and 346 people have been admitted to hospital due to dengue throughout the country.   

This information was informed in a press release about dengue sent from the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Department of Health on Saturday (August 31).

It said that 102 people in Chittagong Division (outside City Corporation), 15 in Dhaka Division (outside City Corporation), 71 in Dhaka North City Corporation, 129 in Dhaka South City Corporation, 13 in Khulna Division (outside City Corporation) and There are 16 in Mymonsinghs Division (outside City Corporation).              

In 24 hours, no dengue patient was discharged from the hospital in the entire country, a total of 11 thousand 139 patients were discharged this year.        

A total of 12,841 dengue cases have been reported till August 31 this year. Among them, 61.3 percent are men and 38.7 percent are women.           

Four more people have died due to dengue infection in the last 24 hours. A total of 83 people have died of dengue so far this year.   

From January 1 to December 31, 2023, a total of 1,705 people died due to dengue, and 3,21,179 people were hospitalized due to dengue.
