100 died due to dengue

 In the last 24 hours, five more people have died due to dengue and the total number of deaths due to dengue this year is 102. At the same time, 534 people have been admitted to hospital due to dengue throughout the country.

This information was informed in a press release about dengue sent from the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Department of Health on Tuesday (September 10).

It said that 37 people in Barisal Division (outside City Corporation), 113 in Chittagong Division (outside City Corporation), 90 in Dhaka Division (outside City Corporation) and 78 in Dhaka North City Corporation were admitted to hospital due to dengue in the last 24 hours. , 121 in Dhaka South City Corporation, 59 in Khulna Division (outside City Corporation) and 17 in Mymensingh Division (outside City Corporation), 18 in Rajshahi Division (outside City Corporation) and one in Rangpur Division (outside City Corporation).

In 24 hours, 507 dengue patients were discharged from the hospital across the country, a total of 15 thousand 53 patients were discharged this year. A total of 16 thousand 819 people have been affected by dengue until September 10 of this year. Among them, 61.7 percent are men and 38.3 percent are women.  

In the last 24 hours, five more people have died due to dengue. A total of 102 people have died of dengue so far this year. From January 1 to December 31, 2023, a total of 1,705 people died due to dengue, and 3,21,179 people were hospitalized due to dengue.
