US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia Donald Lu is coming to Dhaka in the middle of this month. He is coming to Dhaka to build US relations with the interim government.
According to sources, the United States wants to discuss with the interim government to determine the future course of action. For this reason, the two countries are discussing the arrival of a US delegation to Dhaka in the middle of this month. The chief adviser to the United Nations General Assembly held in September. The US team will arrive in Dhaka before Muhammad Yunus joins.
The delegation includes Brent Neiman, Assistant Under Secretary for International Finance at the US Department of Revenue and Treasury, and Lindsay Ford, Senior Director of the National Security Council. Besides, US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia Donald Lu is in that delegation.
It is to be noted that Donald Lu visited Dhaka with an American delegation last May.
