Hand in hand, Biden and Kamala campaign together for the first time

United States President Joe Biden and presidential candidate Kamala Harris held hands on Monday campaigning together.

This is their first campaign together since Biden endorsed Kamala Harris as his presidential candidate.

Kamala’s rival in the US presidential election on November 5 is former President Donald Trump. Pennsylvania is considered a hotly contested state in the election. Biden and Kamala campaigned there yesterday in an attempt to attract voters there. They met with union members in Pittsburgh. After that, Biden and Kamala stood side by side and addressed about 600 supporters.

“We’ve made a lot of progress and Kamla and I are building on that,” Biden said. He (Kamala) will take it further. I’ll be on the sidelines, but I’ll do whatever I can to help.’

A glimpse of what Biden’s role in Kamala’s campaign will look like in the months leading up to the vote was available yesterday.

The 81-year-old Biden wanted to compete in the next presidential election from the Democratic Party. However, after being caught in a debate with Republican candidate Donald Trump, questions arose within the party about Biden’s ability. In such a situation, he withdrew from the competition. The vice president recognized Kamala Harris as the presidential candidate.

“There’s only one rational choice for you at this point — and that’s Kamala Harris,” Biden told supporters Monday.

Biden also said, ‘I know him, I trust him. His backbone is as strong as an iron rod, his sense of position is that of a saint. What this woman does, she does it knowingly. I assure you, if you elect Kamala Harris as President, it will be the best decision you have ever made.’

Various opinion polls have shown that since Kamala Harris became the candidate, the chances for Democrats to defeat Republican Trump have been steadily increasing. But what will happen in the end is very uncertain.

Biden and Kamala hugged and shook hands in Pittsburgh on Monday. After this, Kamala enthusiastically praised Biden.

“Joe Biden is one of the most transformative presidents we’ve seen in the United States, and he’s doing it with sincerity,” Kamala said. Frankly, we pride ourselves on being the most union-friendly in the history of the United States, and Joe and I have talked about that a lot.’

Then one of the supporters shouted, ‘We’re not going back!’ This is one of the slogans used in the election campaign of Kamala Harris.
