According to the sources of the Department of Health, in January this year, 1,55 people were admitted to the hospital with dengue and 14 people died. In May, 644 people were hospitalized with dengue and 12 died. In June, 798 people were admitted and eight people died. In July, 2,269 people were admitted and 12 died. In August, 6,521 people were hospitalized with dengue and 27 people died. In September, 18 thousand 97 people were admitted to the hospital, 80 people died.
Analyzing the data of the Department of Health, it can be seen that the number of deaths due to dengue in 2023 will surpass all previous records.
