Eid-ul-Azha in Saudi Arabia on July 20

The moon of the month of Jilhaj was not seen in Saudi Arabia. As such, Eid-ul-Azha will be celebrated in the country on July 20 (Tuesday). The Saudi Supreme Court said on Friday (July 9th).

The country’s Supreme Court has ruled that the moon of the month of Jilhaj has not been seen in Saudi Arabia. July 10 (today) will be the last day of the month of Zilqad in Saudi Arabia. The month of Jilhaj will start on Sunday (July 11). That’s why, Eid-ul-Azha will be celebrated in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, July 20, the tenth day of the month of Jilhaj and July 19 will be the day of Arafat.

According to Gulf News, Muslims around the world perform Hajj every year in the month of Jilhaj. As part of this, Eid-ul-Azha is celebrated on the tenth day of the month of Jilhaj.

Earlier, Saudi Arabia’s Supreme Court called on all Muslims in the country to watch the moon. If anyone sees the moon with the naked eye or through a telescope anywhere in the country, they are urged to inform the nearest court.

It is to be noted that Muslims perform Hajj in the month of Jilhaj every year. As part of this, Eid-ul-Azha is celebrated on the tenth day of this month.
