Lionel Andres Messi, one of the best stars in the world of football, is finally leaving Barcelona after a long 21 years. Spanish club Barcelona officially announced on Thursday night that Barcelona could not hold Messi due to economic reasons even after the two sides reached an agreement.
Messi’s contract with Barcelona expired on June 30. Messi was busy playing for the national team as the Copa America was going on then. However, the newly elected president of Barcelona Juan Laporta has always said that they will announce a new contract with Messi any day.
But on Thursday around 12pm Bangladesh time, Barcelona announced that they could not renew the contract with Messi.
