Authorities are preparing to reopen the hall of Dhaka University, which was closed due to the Corona epidemic. Students will be picked up on a priority basis from the first week of next October. The hall will be open for Honors fourth year and Masters students from October 1.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the provost committee which started at 7 pm on Tuesday. This information was confirmed after a meeting of about an hour and a half, Dhaka University Provost Standing Committee Member Secretary and University Proctor Professor AKM Golam Rabbani.
The president and the provost of Vijay Ekattor Hall said, that a decision has been taken to open the hall. However, corona conditions improve, infection rates decrease and that vaccination activities in students; If these three works are done, the residential hall will be opened in the first week of October. And then Masters and Honors fourth year students will be brought.
University Proctor Professor. AKM Golam Rabbani said that a large part of our students was not covered by the vaccination program. We call on everyone to be vaccinated by September 15.
He said, the residential hall of the university would be opened for the fourth year and Masters examinees considering the situation after seeing the vaccination activities. Students of these years will leave the hall at the end of the examination. The university will then be open to students of other years from mid-November.
