IS suicide bomber kills at Kabul airport

A series of suicide bombings outside a Kabul airport on Thursday killed at least 13 people, including 13 U.S. soldiers. Panic has deepened in the last days of intense pressure to remove foreign nationals and Afghan allies from Taliban-controlled Afghanistan.

The Islamic State group has claimed responsibility for the attack, with thousands gathering outside Afghan airports desperate to flee the country despite warnings of an imminent major terrorist attack. The IS group’s attack has created a tragic scene of horrific carnage there.

President Joe Biden, under intense pressure from the Biden administration to deal with the evacuation of people from Afghanistan, said evacuation operations on the plane would not be stopped and vowed to bring those responsible for the attack to justice.

“We will not forgive the attackers,” he said. We will catch you and pay you back. ‘

Biden insisted that all American troops must leave Afghanistan, partly because of the threat of IS attacks, and that the airlift would end by Tuesday.

Since the Taliban took control of Afghanistan on August 15, more than 100,000 people have been evacuated by air.

The Taliban had approved the operation of US-led forces airlifts, with the Taliban finalizing the process of forming their government as soon as possible with the withdrawal of US troops.

But the Taliban’s rival, the IS jihadists, have carried out a series of barbaric attacks in Afghanistan in the past, with the aim of capitalizing on the chaos in Kabul.
