Bangladesh wants the cooperation of the Netherlands in the export and processing of agricultural products. Bangladesh has expressed interest in signing a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the agricultural sector.
Monday (October 4) in the Secretariat of the Minister of Agriculture. The Minister expressed his interest when he met Md. Abdur Razzak, Ambassador of the Netherlands to Dhaka, Anne Gerard van Leeuwen.
Highlighting the unimaginable success of agricultural production in Bangladesh, the Minister said Bangladesh is lagging in exports and processing. The country has a lot of potential for exporting and processing mango, pineapple, banana, tomato, potato, and vegetables. In this case, technical assistance from the Netherlands is required.
He also hoped for cooperation in setting up a modern packing house and a modern testing lab on 2 acres of land in Purbachal and Dutch investment in agriculture.
The Ambassador of the Netherlands assured Bangladesh of cooperation in the field of agriculture. He said a memorandum of understanding would be signed soon with Bangladesh to increase cooperation in agriculture. Initiatives will also be taken to involve the private sector in the Netherlands.
